"It’s as hard as a rock."

The Story (5 mins)
A really good friend of mine thinks that she can cook. Most of the time, her food really isn’t that bad. However, everything seems to go wrong when she bakes. She invited me over one time for coffee and she had baked some cookies. I think you can still call those cookies... Anyway, we were having coffee and she put a plate of her cookies on it. She offered me one, so I took it and set it on my plate. She went off into the other room to turn the oven off and while she was gone I bit into the cookie. Well, I tried to bite into the cookie. I nearly broke my tooth! I hid it before she came back and she asked me if I liked the cookie. I said yes and quickly changed the subject. She offered me another one and I said that I didn’t want to spoil my dinner. I feel bad for lying to her, but I also don’t want to make her feel bad.
