The Story (5 mins)
My brother is really bad about misplacing things and hardly takes the time to really look for them when he does. He usually gets upset with other people, even though he is the one that misplaces his own stuff! He’s only ten years old, so we forgive him for that most of the time. I remember a time when he was looking for his favorite watch.
He was home from school after a long day of learning and I remember him lazily slumping in his chair. He was hungry and he went to look at his watch to see how long it would be before our parents came home from work. His watch was gone! He started running around looking for someone to blame instead of using his eyes to actually search for his watch.
He started running around the house looking for it. He couldn’t find it anywhere. He called my mom at work and yelled at her for cleaning his room and losing his watch. He gave up after about an hour and sat back down again. I looked down and he had put his watch on his ankle. It was right in front of him the whole time and as our grandfather would say, "If it was a snake, it would have bit him". He’s so weird sometimes.
