The Story (5 mins)
I like to help people. It always puts a smile on someone’s face when they get help when they least expect it. You can really make someone’s day. I was on the train to go visit a friend of mine. It was a long trip and the final station was my stop. I got my things and was on my way down the platform. I could see an elderly lady up ahead that was having trouble getting her luggage off of the train. I went over to her and asked her if she needed help. At first she was surprised and didn’t respond, but then she happily accepted my offer. I went to pick up one of the bags that she was having trouble with and it wasn’t even heavy at all. What’s easy for one person might not be so easy for the next. She thanked me kindly and we went our separate ways.
