Rodney King: Police Brutality

Police brutality is a concern all over the world. In this lesson, we will examine an infamous case that took place in Los Angeles, California. Watch the video and fill in the blanks as you go along. I would suggest that you copy/paste the worksheet into a word document so that you can watch the video with ease. The lesson will alternate between fill in the blank and True/False questions. If you answer “False”, the write the correct answer in the space provided. Good luck!

The riots ended, but the threat of violence was still there. A year after the riots, the outcome of a second trail against the police involved in the situation. After 45 days the trial came to an end and the jury found ___ out of the ___ officers guilty. Officers Laurence Powell and Stacey Koon were sentenced for ________ years in federal prison.
