The Story (5 mins)
I have never experienced a storm like the one I was in during monsoon season in Korea. My boss told me that the rain would come down really hard and I thought that it couldn’t possibly be all that bad. I was wrong! I was heading to school one day and it looked like a perfectly normal day. I checked the news and it told me to expect heavy monsoon rains on that day. I told myself that it couldn’t possibly be all that bad, grabbed my umbrella, and headed out the door. I was half way to work when the wind started to blow. I thought that I was going to get knocked over by the wind, but I kept walking. I felt the first rain drop fall and that was when the storm got serious. All of a sudden, the clouds came in and so did the rain. I had never seen rain like that before and I felt like I was standing under a waterfall. When I finally got to school I was totally wet from head to toe! Everyone had warned me that the monsoon rain was very serious and now I definitely believe them!
