The Story (5 mins)
I have one of the best friends in the world, but she is a terrible cook. It’s difficult to tell her that her cooking is so bad, because she really enjoys it and is very proud of it. I usually just tell her that it tastes great and force myself to finish every last bite. One of the worst things she ever cooked for me was baked chicken. She set the temperature too high and cooked the chicken for too long. When she was done it looked like it had been sitting in the sun for about a month. I tried to cut it with my knife and I felt like I was trying to saw through a tree! I just looked over at her and she was chewing on the chicken with a smile on her face as proud as ever. It was really difficult to finish the meal, but I did it so that I wouldn’t hurt her feelings. When we were finished, she said that she didn’t like the meal so much and decided not to cook it again. I’m very thankful for that!
