Online Shopping

Who shops online?
    1. Why do you shop online?
    2. How often do you shop online?
    3. Would you rather go to a store or shop online?, etc.
Types of Stores and Marketing Strategy
1) Bricks and Mortar: a business that sells its main products/services at the store.
Example: a local, often small business that is not a chain generally falls under the category of a bricks and mortar type of store. Their main product would be the specialty items they are selling (potentially [fast] food items) OR consulting firms that provide a type of face-to-face service.
2) Clicks and Mortar: a business where main products/services can be bought in a store or in an online shop.
Example: Many electronics stores are good examples of this style of business, because you can go to the store and shop or you can buy what you want online and in the store. Their main product is electronics.

 3) Internet Based/TV: a business where main products/services are solely purchased or provided online. Example: Amazon is a perfect example of an Internet based company. There is no physical Amazon store. All items are purchased online.

Have the students come up with some names of businesses and then present to the class which kind of business they are and why.
