"It’s as clear as mud."

The Story (5 mins)
(telephone call)
A: Hey Jimmy, it’s Steve.
B: Hi Steve, what’s up?
A: Did you remember to put my science book back after you used it?
B: Yea, I put it in your room like you asked me to.
A: Ah ok, cool. Where did you put it, because I can’t seem to find it.
B: Umm, let me think. It’s under the thing on your shelf.
A: Which thing on which shelf?
B: The big thing on the one shelf next to your stuff.
A: Could be a little bit more clear about it?
B: Are you in your room right now?
A: Yeah.
B: Then just look on the shelf with all the stuff next to your other things.
A: You aren’t making this very easy Jim.
B: Dude, it’s not that difficult. It’s on the shelf next to your stuff under the things that are around your room.
A: [...]
B: Should I just come upstairs and show you where it is?
A: That would be the best.
